Review from Bob S.
My second trip to this show at SF Playhouse and I loved information technology merely as much. I can't remember a time where I saw the same product more than in one case during a run before but when friends told me they were going I joined them. I'm not even a huge...continued

Went in beingness familiar with a few of the songs but knowing nothing of the story and ended up a sobbing mess at several points. Wonderful cast with leads reminiscent of Mandy and Bernadette. Loved it and then much I'm making plans to return which is...continued

The play started very slowly (understatement!), but as new characters were introduced, information technology developed some momentum. By the finish, nosotros loved it!

The writing is profound. Bill English language's direction and gear up help create a world within and around a painting. A great painting. The leads are excellent. Am over the moon that I saw this show.

I feel similar I'k maxim something sacrilegious when I say I didn't similar Sun in the Park with George. Every bit a theatre person, I experience like I'm *supposed* to love Sondheim. But I just didn't like this bear witness.

I had never seen this Sondheim musical and I thought the show was delightful, peculiarly the two leads. I call back information technology's too long, but i liked the break up of time periods in Act 2 and the writing by the master is only lovely.

The two leads were excellent. Nosotros'd never seen this play before, and we're glad we finally did. If you're a fan, this is a good product. This is non among Sondheim's best works though.

I thought the first human action was marvelous, wonderfully acted and sung, and very moving. But the 2d act was like a tail from a dissimilar animal stuck onto the domestic dog. Seemed that Sondheim didn't know how to end the play and tried this & that, to my...continued

The characters were unlikable and the singing was off. The music was strident. The theater was pocket-sized and really non a bad seat in the firm.

Lovely product of this Sondheim gem from the early on 1980s. Nanci Zoppi is positively channeling Bernadette Peters in the role of Dot/Marie. Effort to get a seat in the middle and so yous tin see the tableau event at the end of Deed I.

Ho-hum first act, songs uninspiring. Less than great for Sondheim. To be fair, though, most of the audience seemed to like information technology meliorate than me and my guest.

There are song demands a plenty in this masterpiece. I would assume 8 performances a calendar week in a seven calendar week run doesn't do them in.
